When Calvin Richardson began his employment at West Tennessee Healthcare, the price of a postage stamp was 0.20, a loaf of bread was 0.71, a gallon of milk was $1.94, and the average price for a gallon of gasoline was $1.27.
That was 1984, and Calvin Richardson, who has been an employee for over 40 years at West Tennessee Healthcare, has been named the organization’s employee of the month for March.
Calvin, who serves as an executive chef in the food and nutrition department, was presented the award by Vice President Deann Thelen, VP/CEO, JMCGH and Warren Goodman, director, food & nutrition, when the Board of Trustees held their monthly meeting at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital, Tuesday.
His coworkers say Calvin is very dependable and you can always count on him to go above and beyond.
