From the Jackson Police Department –
On March 18, at approximately 12:45 p.m., officers responded to the area of North Hays Avenue and Lexington Avenue in reference to shots being fired.
Upon arrival, officers found a 21-year-old man shot in the leg. The victim was transported by helicopter to a hospital in Memphis to be treated for his injuries.
