The Jackson Police Department, Haz-Mat Response Unit, Madison County Sheriff’s Department, Jackson Fire Department and Emergency Medical Services responded to a bomb threat at North Side High School at approximately 10:03 a.m., today.
According to sources, the threat was posted on Facebook.
The three entrances at the school from North Highland Avenue are blocked. Authorities have also blocked an entrance from Hughes Drive during a methodical search – which includes the Jackson Police Department’s K-9 unit – of the school.
Traffic on North Highland Avenue is uninterrupted.
