JACKSON, Tenn. – Union University’s Olivia Lee has been named the Gulf South Conference Women’s Basketball Freshman of the Week for the week ending Jan. 14.
This is Lee’s second freshman of the week honor this season.
Lee, a 5-foot-11 guard from Jackson, Tenn., and Trinity Christian Academy graduate, helped No. 5/6 Union to a 3-0 record this week, including making the buzzer-beating three-pointer that sent the Lady Bulldogs into overtime against Lee University. On Jan. 8 against the University of Alabama at Huntsville, Lee collected 10 points, four rebounds, two assists, and one block. On Jan. 11 at Shorter University, she had 14 points, one rebound, two assists, and one steal. On Jan. 13 in the overtime victory over Lee, she scored 19 points and collected four rebounds, three assists, and one block.
