From the Jackson Police Department –

Officers with the Jackson Police Department are investigating a shooting that occurred in the area of 304 Parkwood Trace.

On January 3, 2024, at approximately 10:45 p.m., police officers were dispatched to the location for a report of shots fired.

Upon arrival, officers made contact with one victim suffering from what appeared to be gunshot wounds.

The victim was transported to a local hospital by Emergency Medical Personnel and treated for the injuries sustained.

Officers moments later located another victim near Highway 70 south of North Parkway suffering from a gunshot wound.

Air-Evac transported the victim to a hospital in Memphis.
