Liberty Tech celebrates opportunities that new therapy barn and animal science lab will offer

School Board members and district leaders joined students at Liberty Technology High School this weekend to mark the official opening of a therapy barn and animal science lab.

A ribbon cutting ceremony was held Saturday evening for the barn and large animal science lab. The new facility will give students the opportunity to interact with, care for, and handle common livestock.

“Having a barn is really awesome because it means we get to work hands on regularly everyday with the livestock,” said Corey Kaelin, Liberty FFA Vice President. “I think it makes our classes better and gives our FFA something to do. I really enjoy it!”

Stakeholders across Jackson-Madison County and West Tennessee made the completion of this project possible.

Members of the West Tennessee State Fair Board attended the ribbon cutting and presented a one-thousand dollar check to Liberty Tech in memory of former Fair Board member Billy Donnell.
