The 17th annual Morgan Leah McCarty Golf Classic will be held September 9, at Woodland Hills Golf & Country Club CLICK HERE, 2 Club House Drive in Pinson.
Pam & Mike McCarty founded the non-profit Morgan McCarty Scholarship Fund to provide financial assistance to area youth for their college expenses.
The first year of the Classic, two scholarships valued at $1,000 each were presented.
For 2023, the Classic has presented $31,000 in scholarships – four scholarships totaling $7,500 each, and a $1,000 scholarship at the Jackson-Madison County Sports Hall of Fame.
