Jada Brown, Miss Lane College, was crowned the winner of the Miss Tennessee Volunteer Scholarship Pageant, at the Carl Perkins Civic Center, Saturday.
Brown, one of 36 women participating in the annual pageant, will serve as Gov. Bill Lee’s spokesperson for character education and receive $11,000 in scholarship money.
Jada Brown also qualifies for the Miss Volunteer America Pageant, which will be held June 19-22, 2024, in Jackson.
First runner up Kara Short, Miss Mid-South, was presented a $7,000 scholarship
Second runner up Erin Sharp, Miss Germantown, was presented a $6,000 scholarship
Third runner up, D’Ambrah Watts, Miss Midtown was presented a $5,000 scholarship
Fourth runner up, Lydia Waldrop, Miss Mid-South Fair, was presented a $4,000 scholarship
