From the Jackson Police Department –

On Monday, 07/17/2023 Jadan Bills entered a guilty plea in Madison County Circuit Court Division I.

Judge Joseph Howell accepted Bills’ guilty plea on two counts of second-degree murder three counts of attempted first-degree murder, aggravated assault, and three counts of employing a firearm during a dangerous felony. Bills was charged in connection with a double homicide which occurred on North Parkway at the U.S. Highway 45 Bypass on 04/29/2022.

Bills is responsible for shooting into a vehicle and injuring four of the five occupants, two died because of the shooting. Bills will serve a 40-year sentence at the Tennessee Department of Corrections.

On 07/14/2023 the Major Crimes Division located and arrested Curtis Jackson in connection with multiple Jackson business robberies. Jackson, age 27, is a Jackson resident who was living in the Old Hickory Boulevard area at the time of his arrest.

Curtis Jackson has been formerly charged with the robbery of the Midtown Wine and Spirits, 930 Campbell St., which occurred on 05/15/2023. Jackson has been charged with two robberies which occurred at Bargain Hunt, 119 Old Hickory Blvd., on 06/25/2023, and 06/27/2023. Jackson is also charged with the robbery that occurred at Los Portales, 119 Old Hickory Blvd., on 06/27/2023.

Jackson entered these businesses armed with a handgun and fired his weapon during three of the four robberies. Jackson has been charged with three counts of Aggravated Robbery, one count of Attempted Aggravated Robbery and four counts of Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon.
