The Ned’s Teen Theatre is proud to present Footloose: The Musical, with shows at 7 p.m. on Thursday, June 15 and Friday, June 16, and shows at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Saturday, June 17.
The cast features some of the best singers, dancers, and actors in the Jackson community, with special featured performances by Kellye Cash-Sheppard and Peppermint Addie.
The production is Choreographed by Veronica Sesson and directed by David McCall, Executive Director of the Ned.
The iconic story based on the 1984 film of the same name will offer a perfect blend of nostalgia and high-energy entertainment for all ages.
The story follows Ren McCormack, a big-city teenager who moves to a small town where dancing is forbidden. Through his passion for music and dance, Ren leads a group of young locals to challenge the restrictive rules set by the town’s leadership.
The musical features a memorable score, including hit songs such as “Holding Out for a Hero,” “Let’s Hear It for the Boy,” and “Almost Paradise.”
