The University School of Jackson is pleased to announce the hiring of former Ole Miss quarterback Bo Wallace as the new offensive coordinator and Admissions Assistant for the Bruins.
Coach Wallace has an extensive background in both high school and junior college player development.
He most recently served as the Quarterback Coach for Holmes Community College in Goodman,
Mississippi.
“I am excited to bring Bo Wallace to our USJ family,” said Derrick Pritchard, USJ athletic director, “He brings a wealth of knowledge and experiences to share with our students and athletes that will benefit them in every aspect of their lives.
“This is a great time to be a Bruin!”
Many remember Bo from his tenure as a record-setting quarterback for Ole Miss from 2012-14. Under the guidance of head coach Hugh Freeze, Wallace led Ole Miss to a 6-6 mark and its fırst bowl appearance in three seasons.
Wallace started every game of his Ole Miss career and was the fırst Reb QB since Romaro
Miller (1998-2000) to lead the school to three straight bowl games.
Additionally, Wallace helped lead Ole Miss to its most regular season wins since 2003, highest ranking since 1964, and ırst-ever win over the nation’s No. 1 team, a thrilling 23-17 victory over Alabama in 2014.
Following his collegiate career, Bo opted to embark on his coaching career versus pursuing several
Canadian Football League offers.
Since his coaching debut in 2015, Wallace has continued to hone his offensive coordination skills through his high school and junior college roles, with many teams seeing tremendous gains in offensive production after his fırst year on staff.
The Bruins will benefit signiıcantly from his offensive guidance in a critical role left vacant after the tragic loss of Coach Tommy Browder in September 2021.
Bo will also assist the admissions team with enrolling student-athletes as well as overseeing athletic facilities’ needs.
Coach Wallace shared, “I am blessed to have the opportunity to join the USJ community. Coach Pritchard and Mr. Roe have been amazing through this process, and I am excited to be a part of what they are building here in Jackson. I am excited to get to know the students, athletes, and families here in the community. Go, Bruins!”
Originally from Pulaski, Tennessee, Bo now resides in Jackson, TN.
