MADISON Tenn – The commission unanimously appointed Jason Compton to fill the seat vacated by Jerry Bastin when he moved out of the area. Compton told the commission he is a resident with two children and looks forward to serving the county.
Commissioners accepted the resignation of Commissioner Ann Harrell who, like Bastin, also represented District 10.
A replacement will be named at next months meeting. Resumes are being accepted for the open seat. Unofficially Mark Taylor has been interviewed for the position and is favored by several on the body.
