Jackson, Tenn. – The U.S. Marshals Two Rivers Violent Fugitive Task Force in Jackson has captured the third of three suspects wanted for a November 30, 2022, Gibson County homicide.
Johnny Yarbrough, 38, of Dyer, TN, was captured today at a residence in the 400 block of Harrison Lane in Paris, TN, by the Marshals Task Force and Paris Police Department.
Yarbrough faces charges of First-Degree Murder, Especially Aggravated Robbery, Possession of a Firearm during Dangerous Felony, and Tampering with Evidence. The charges were filed in connection to a homicide in Trenton, TN, that was investigated by the Gibson County Sheriff’s Department. The first suspect was arrested by Gibson County early in their investigation.
The Marshals and Hardeman County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested the second suspect, Tyler Pierce, on December 2 in Toone, TN.
“Within a week of this murder and with the assistance of other law enforcement agencies, the task force was able to arrest two violent suspects in different West Tennessee counties,” said U.S. Marshal Tyreece Miller. “The success of this effort is attributed to the determination of the team and importance of our partnerships.”
“Without the help of the Marshals and their around the clock diligence, these suspects would still be on the loose,” said Gibson County Sheriff Paul Thomas. “The citizens of Gibson County can’t thank them enough for their work.”
