Business Spotlight – Mallory Cooke resigns as public information officer at Regional Health Department

Mallory Cooke has announced her resignation as public information officer at the Jackson-Madison County Regional Health Department to pursue another opportunity.

Cooke, who could not be reached for comment, was a longtime WBBJ 7 Eyewitness News anchor.

She joined the Jackson-Madison County Regional Health Department in Oct. 2018.

In he role, Cooke worked with local media and the community to share information about the health department and its programs.

Cooke had nearly 10 years of television news experience, after beginning her career at WBBJ in 2009.

Cooke went on to work as a reporter at KFSM in Fort Smith, Arkansas for several years before returning to WBBJ in 2013.

Cooke grew up near Columbia, South Carolina. She earned a Bachelor of Science in journalism from Boston University.

Cooke is married to Chris Bell, a lifelong West Tennessee resident.
