The No. 8 Bethel Wildcats are undefeated (5-0, 1-0 Mid-South Conference) heading into the sixth weekend on the gridiron. A very impressive feat for the BU program, and one they hope to continue.
The Wildcats traveled to Georgetown Oct. 1, and departed Central Kentucky with a 24-14 win against the then No. 8 Tigers, the Cats’ conference opener. Bethel outscored Georgetown 18-7 in the second half, which proved be the difference.
Bethel outgained the Tigers 418-194. The Cats had 277 yards passing and 141 in rushing.
Joaquin Collazo was 19-of-33 in the air for 250 yards. Terrance Roberts had a career high 121 yards on 32 carries. JD Dixon had six receptions for 90 yards.
The Wildcats return to McKenzie Oct. 8 for the lone night game of the regular season. The University of the Cumberlands Patriots march to Wildcat Stadium for “Domestic Violence Awareness Night.” Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
