JACKSON, Tenn. — Police are asking for help the public’s help in locating a missing man they say is a person of interest in the death of an apparent homicide victim.
According to police Dennis Lee Hurt was last seen by a family member near the lake at Muse Park. Police found evidence near the lake that suggested Hurt committed suicide, according to the release.
Police say evidence led them to conduct a welfare check at Hurt’s last known address where they found an unidentified woman’s body.
Dennis Lee Hurt, aka “Skinny,” is 52 years old, six feet three inches tall, and weighs about 200 pounds, according to police.
Police believe Hurt and the victim of an ongoing death investigation did know each other.
The woman’s body was discovered in a duplex in the 900 block of Old Hickory Blvd Wednesday evening
Her body was sent to Nashville for a forensic autopsy to determine her identify and cause of death, according to police.
