JACKSON Tenn – Acting on information from family and evidence police believed a victim may have committed suicide.
Around 3:00 Wednesday afternoon Jackson Police along with Jackson and Madison County Fire Department officials responded to a call of a possible suicide at Muse Park Lake in east Jackson.
Madison County Fire Chief Eric Turner said his department received a call from Jackson Fire Department regarding assistance in searching for a possible body
Jackson Police Public Information Officer Derick Tisdale said the police had information and evidence that indicated a person may have drowned. Â Personal belongings of a possible victim were found at the scene and family members were expressing concerns about the subjects well-being.
After three hours of dragging the lake as well as searching with special equipped boats the rescuers turned up no further evidence. Â The search was called off.
Sgt Tisdale said investigators will go back and look at the information they have to try to determine the whereabouts of the person.
