Chick-fil-A schedules groundbreaking for new restaurant on FHU campus

Chick-fil-A, which has maintained its position as America’s favorite restaurant for eight years in a row, according to the American Customer Satisfaction Index (ACSI), will break ground for a new facility on the campus of Freed-Hardeman University, 250 E. Main St., in Henderson, at 4:30 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 22.

Facing Main Street in Henderson will make Chick-fil-A it easily accessible from downtown and within the campus.

According to a press release from Brandon Shields – The Bramblett Group – construction will also include a new FHU Dining Hall.

Atlanta-based Chick-fil-A, Inc. is a family-owned and privately held restaurant company founded in 1967 by S. Truett Cathy. Devoted to serving the local communities in which its franchised restaurants operate, and known for its original chicken sandwich, Chick-fil-A serves freshly prepared food in more than 2,500 restaurants in 47 states, Washington, D.C. and Canada.

The mission of Freed-Hardeman University is to help students develop their God-given talents for His glory by empowering them with an education that integrates Christian faith, scholarship and service.
