Grace Media Group has added another radio station to its multi-media group.

La Poderosa 105.3 FM WTJK began airing today, Wednesday, Sept. 14, with a mix of syndicated and local programming.

La Poderosa covers Madison and the surrounding counties as the only Spanish-language radio station in West Tennessee between Memphis and Nashville.

Grace Media Group has formed a partnership with Univision for the No. 1-morning show among Latinos – The Good, the Bad and the Ugly,  6 a.m. – 9 a.m., followed by local on-air personalities ‘Rogelio and Elvia Live,’ from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., weekdays.

Locally programmed music and content will round out the day.

“We are proud of the addition of La Poderosa in that this is part of Jackson’s history as the first Latino radio station, and that we are providing a voice for upward of 30,000 Latinos in our listening area,” said Tim November, Grace Media Group Corporate Director, “We will be able to provide information on resources which help those in need and serve as a way for small business owners in the Latino community to reach out to potential customers.”

105.3 has been the home of Fox Sports, which will now move to 1190 AM and 99.9 FM.
