Shelia Jones, a senior midline defender for the South Side Hawks is the NEWS/TALK 101.5 FM & WNWS.COM Girl’s Soccer ‘Player of the Week,’ presented by Mann’s Wrecker and AJD Metal Designs.com. 

Shelia had seven blocks in the first half and added in the second half in the Hawks’ three-point loss to Jackson Christian last Wednesday. 

Player’s Comment – 

“We fought hard, played hard, and even after a tough loss, this will not define us as a team, but make us stronger for the next opponent and still do what we need to do. The next game will be a win with hard work on and off the field.”

Coach’s Comment –

“Every great team has a hard game; this game will teach us our strengths and our weaknesses so that we will improve and be better for our next opponent. This isn’t the end for our Lady Hawks.” 

South Side Hawks (3-4) plays Hardin Co. next Tuesday.
