From the Jackson-Madison County School System –
Students at North Side High School were dismissed early this morning because of a water leak located in the second floor of the South campus building.
–
Because a number of classes take place in the South building, and the need for maintenance crews to have complete access to address the leak, it was deemed necessary to close the entire campus.
–
Students are being dismissed safely and orderly from 7:30 a.m. – 8:30 a.m., as buses return to campus to route students back to their homes.
–
Executive Principal Dr. Bryan Chandler alerted North Side parents of these safety procedures several moments ago, but we wanted to make sure all community stakeholders were notified and aware of the situation.
–
North Side parents and students are asked to stay tuned for updates concerning tomorrow’s schedule.
