From the Crockett County Sheriff’s Office –

The Crockett County Sheriff’s Office received very limited information pertaining to a perceived threat to commit violence in our high school.

We immediately put our safety plan in place and contacted Director Pratt to collaborate together.

We are in contact with the Secret Service, FBI, and Homeland Security to determine the originator of the threat and will do everything in our power to identify and bring the person(s) to justice.

We take the safety and security of our children very seriously and are committed to keeping them safe while receiving an education at school. There is a law enforcement presence at several schools this morning and we will continue to patrol/monitor the situation throughout the day.

This is a joint investigation between the CCSD and the FBI.
