‘Baby Boxes … a scam’ – co-founder of Baby Safe Haven visits Brad McCoy

WATCH: Alex Reed and Mike Morrisey join host Brad McCoy on Aug. 11.

Mike Morrisey – Baby Safe Haven New England – visited with “Keepin’ It Real” host Brad McCoy, Thursday.  Joining McCoy in the WNWS.com studio was Alex Reed, city manager for the City of Jackson.

Morrisey discussed the Jackson City Council’s approved lease agreement for “Safe Haven Baby Boxes” during a special called meeting at Jackson City Hall, Tuesday.

NOTE: THERE IS NO COST TO THE CITY OF JACKSON – ALL COSTS WILL BE PROVIDED BY A PRIVATE DONOR.

The Baby Boxes will be available at Jackson Fire Station No. 2, 2 Westwood Ave., for mothers who surrender their babies.

A mother will then have 45 days to contact the Department of Children’s Services (DCS) to decide if she wants to reclaim the child.

Morrisey said the so-called “baby boxes” are nothing more then a scam.

In an email to WNWS.COM, Morrisey said ‘Since the scam so-called “baby boxes” began six years ago they are yet to achieve a single major city as a location. The average population of the towns and cities the scam “boxes” are located in is maybe 9,000.

Most are smaller communities. Those “scam” boxes are in many small communities with tiny populations that number in the hundreds.

Who is believing this scam? Just take a demographic look at the cities and town that have bought into this scam. The average population size is about 7,000. They’re primarily in three states. Indiana, Arkansas and Kentucky.

Can this scam artist go to New York City, or even Albany, New York, and expect to pull off her ignorant scam? Of course not. Is Los Angeles the site of a possible “baby box” scam? No. They’ll want all the technical test reports that an almost high school dropout doesn’t know how to write.

And name the other top 50 cities, many in the most educated states with the most educated elected officials and municipal department managers. They see through this scam as if it’s 100% transparent glass. It’s too easy to spot this scam coming, unless you first fall for “saving babies” heartstring scam that gets heaped upon you so you don’t ask a single standard question.

How hard would it be to find cities that are so ignorant that they don’t even ask s single question about the educational background of the scam artist when she says that she’s “fully tested” the scam, so-called “baby boxes.” And why wouldn’t they ask for all of the proper regulatory compliance documentations.

Ignorance to any part of science or social work is the reason. They believe an almost high school dropout when she says she’s researched their community’s social work needs as far as newborn abandonment statistics and probabilities.

And again, they NEVER ask for her background. They must think that a part-time paramedic must have an advanced degree.

But they never check to see that a high school dropout can barely pass a GED test, and become a part time paramedic in Indiana.

In many states to get hired as a paramedic you must at least get a 2 year Associates Degree. And passing the GED exam doesn’t give you a high school diploma. You are still a high school dropout.
