Bethel University hall of fame member Ray Melchiorre, an NBA and ABA team trainer, talks about his experience as a trainer for the world champion Boston Celtics on this week’s “Saturday Sports Roundup,” hosted by Joe Holloway, Jimmy Butler and Bill Hamilton.
After his tenure with the Celtics, Melchiorre also had a successful stint with the Houston Rockets and the Los Angeles Clippers.
He was a trainer in professional basketball for more than 25 years and worked with the likes of Dave Cowens, Dennis Johnson, Nate Archibald, Kevin McHale, Bill Walton, Cedric Maxwell, M.L. Carr, Don Chaney, Rick Robey, Danny Ainge, Robert Parrish and Pete Maravich.
