The Jackson Police Department continues an investigation an early morning shooting that left one dead, Monday.
The JPD responded to a call at approximately 2:45 a.m., at the Slide and Ride Tavern, 595 Old Hickory Blvd., in reference to a shooting.
It was reported several shots were fired at a vehicle that left the parking lot of the business. Officers located the victim’s vehicle in the area of 1862 Highway 45 Bypass.
The victim, Amanda Wilbourn, a 32-year-old female was found suffering from gunshot wounds.
Ms. Wilbourn later died as a result of her injuries. This is still an active ongoing investigation.
