Charges filed against driver involved in hit-and-run that left one dead, Monday

Charges have been filed against Thomas Crutchfield following a hit-and-run that left a motorcyclist dead in west Madison County, Monday.

According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol, Crutchfield, age 58, was driving a 2010 Dodge Ram, when his vehicle struck and killed Bradley Beatty, age 36.

Beatty was a resident of Jackson.

Crutchfield, from Bells, has been charged for leaving the scene of a fatality crash, duty to give information and render aid, failure to give immediate notice of an accident, failure to yield the right of way and failure to provide proof of financial responsibility, following a hit-and run at the intersection of U.S. 70 West and State Route 138/Providence Road.
