Terry Dyer, deceased Madison County Deputy honored with ‘End of Watch Ride to Remember’

Beyond the Call of Duty, a nonprofit organization dedicated to raising awareness of first responders lost in the line of duty, paid a visit to the Madison County Sheriff’s Department, today.

The ‘End of Watch Ride to Remember,’ honored Madison County Sheriff’s Deputy Terry Dyer, who passed away while on duty in the General Sessions Courtroom, April 20,2021.

Six motorcycles escorted a 40-foot memorial to the Madison County Sheriff’s Office, 317 Denmark Jackson Road, to honor Deputy Dyer, 62, who had been with the MCSO since November of 2017.

Deputy Dyer was one of 608 portraits on the memorial.

The three-year-old national memorial makes three stops each day.

This year, the memorial is traveling more than 21,000 miles, and will visit over 265 police departments to honor fallen officers.

One hundred percent of all donations go to this ride, the families of the fallen, and the departments they worked with.
