From Steve Bowers – Jackson Energy Authority –

A lightening arrestor failed at the Oakfield Substation which caused a power outage in Jackson.

According to an outage map at Jackson Energy Authority, there are more than 9,000 customers without power.

JEA is rerouting power.

Update: Lost voltage reported at East Park and Units 1 & 2 at Pipkin Substation.
