Dr. Logan Hampton, president of Lane College, was named the Exchange Club’s Man of the Year, Tuesday.

Dr. Hampton received the award during the 76th annual banquet, which was held at the DoubleTree Hotel by Hilton.

The award is based on contributions to the community outside of one’s profession.

Dr. Hampton, the 10th president in Lane College history, is a member of Jackson Energy Authority’s Board of Trustees, West Tennessee Healthcare Foundation Board of Trustees, Tennessee Independent Colleges and Universities Association (TICUA), Council of Independent Colleagues (CIC), and the Governor’s Council on Judicial Appointments.
