Jackson, Tennessee – West Tennessee Healthcare is pleased to announce Executive Director Damon Mays as the 2020 President’s Award recipient (delayed due to the Covid-19 pandemic).

The President’s Award, which is awarded annually, recognizes a Department Director that goes above and beyond their day-to-day responsibilities by exhibiting a selfless manner within their career, community and civic involvement.

Mays was presented with the honor during the April Board of Trustees’ Meeting at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.

Damon has been an employee of West Tennessee Healthcare since 1985, serving most recently as the Executive Director of the West Tennessee Healthcare Regional Transfer Center.

“Damon exemplifies servant leadership in our organization,” said James Ross, West Tennessee Healthcare president and Chief Executive Officer, “He has devoted his entire career as a trusted leader, and we are so proud to honor him with this award.
