From the Jackson Police Department –
Officers with the Jackson Police Department responded to shots fired in the area of East Deaderick Street near North Hays Avenue around 4:35 a.m., Saturday.
When officers arrived they found a man with multiple gunshot wounds in his vehicle later identified as Charles Tyus, Jr., a 19-year-old man.
