Latrecia Owens, an employee at West Tennessee Healthcare for 14 years, was named West Tennessee Healthcare’s employee of the month for March.

Latrecia – who works as a registered nurse in the Interventional Radiology Department, was presented the award when the Board of Trustees held their monthly meeting at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital, Tuesday.

The presentation was made by Deann Thelan, vice president/CEO, Jackson-Madison County General Hospital; Jenny Morgan, Director, Interventional Radiology and Keith Garner, Executive Director, Radiology.

According to Amy Garner – West Tennessee Healthcare system vice president chief compliance & communications officer – her coworkers say she is a real asset and a blessing to them.

They all agree she could easily be an employee of the month any month of the year. She always personally recognizes everyone’s hard work and encourages her coworkers on a daily basis.

She never turns down a task and does so much extra without being asked.
