From the Jackson-Madison County School System –

School officials at North Side High School were contacted by local first responders and made aware of a potential threat on campus, today.

Students and staff were evacuated safely from the building and sent home as the incident occurred near the end of the school day.

In keeping with safety procedures, emergency personnel are completing an evaluation of the entire campus.
