On Friday, March 18, after being convicted by jury trial of Rape of a Child in late 2021, Isaias Rodriguez, 46, was sentenced to 40 years to serve at 100% by Crockett County Circuit Court Judge Clayburn Peeples.

“Our office sought the maximum sentence due to the age of the Survivor and the heinousness of the crime. We are thankful the jury returned a guilty verdict so that we could remove a violent sexual predator from our community. We would like to personally thank the Survivor and the Survivor’s family for having the strength to see this matter through. Our top priority in the 28th Judicial District is to prosecute violent criminals.”

This case was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney, Scott G. Kirk and former Assistant District Attorney, Jason C. Scott.
