The Jackson Rotary Club and Christy Little, Juvenile Court Judge, announced a home for foster children will provide temporary accommodations for the care of children when an immediate home is not available.
Donated by West Tennessee Healthcare, the home is located at 195 Summar Drive, off West Forest Avenue.
Furnishings will be provided by donors wishing to assist in helping these children have a temporary home.
Judge Little will share more information as the home is furnished and the program begins. This will be the first such home in West Tennessee.
In January, the West Tennessee Healthcare Board of Trustees entered into a Real Estate Purchase and Sale Agreement with Donald Lee Whitmire and Robert Nolen Whitmire (“Sellers”) for acquisition of property at 195 Summar Drive by WTH for a price of $115,000 in budgeted District funds, plus other customary and reasonable closing costs, upon satisfactory approval of due diligence as to the Property.
