District Seeks New Leadership at Liberty Technology Magnet High School
JACKSON Tenn (August 28, 2015) – Superintendent Verna Ruffin released a statement saying the district is looking for new leadership at Liberty Tech Magnet High School
“District leadership will conduct a search for a new principal for Liberty Technology Magnet High School. The 11 year old technology magnet school, which has the motto College Prepared… Job Ready… Military Bound, is a popular choice among Jackson- Madison County students and parents. “Liberty Technology Magnet is an important part of our academic offering and we will always work to have a strong leadership team for each of our schools,” said Superintendent Dr. Verna Ruffin.
“Principals are the key leaders in setting the tone for a school and we want to see a continued focus on solid academic achievement. We continuously monitor and evaluate student progress and performance at each of our schools. We want to see students get the type of instruction and take the courses that best prepare them for their life ahead.”
“Dr. June Murry has served Liberty many years and has had a positive impact on the school. We are very grateful for her service and thank her for making a difference in the lives of students,” noted Dr. Verna Ruffin. “The community can be assured that we will fill the principal’s position with an individual who will continue the good work at Liberty Technology Magnet and challenge the students and teachers to achieve their very best.”
There will be a meeting with Liberty High School Faculty on Monday.
