John Collins, Tommy Dean, AJ Merriweather, James Parker and Jennifer Moore-Wilkerson are the newest members of the Jackson-Madison County Sports Hall of Fame.
Mike and Pam McCarty will receive the 2022 Billy Schrivner Distinguished Service Award.
Induction ceremonies for the 36th Hall of Fame class will be held at 6:30 p.m., April 14, at the Carl Perkins Civic Center.
Trey Teague, a 2008 Jackson-Madison County Sports Hall of Fame inductee, played center and served as team captain for the University of Tennessee his senior year when the Volunteers won the 1997 Southeastern Conference Championship.
An offensive lineman, Trey played high school football at University School of Jackson, helped Tennessee lead the nation in total offense his senior year, averaging 482 yards per game.
UT compiled a 40-9 career record during his playing days.
Named All-SEC third team and All-American at UT, Trey was selected by the Denver Broncos in the seventh round of the 1998 NFL Draft.
The Broncos won the Super Bowl his rookie season.
A nine-year veteran, Trey also played for the Buffalo Bills – 2002-2005 – and the New York Jets for one season before his retirement from professional football.
In 2013, Trey was inducted into the Tennessee Sports Hall of Fame.
