Kim Tedford, regional director of the Jackson-Madison County Regional Health Department, was presented the 2021 ‘Woman of the Year,’ award by the Jackson Rotary Club which met downtown at First United Methodist Church, Wednesday.
Tedford, who has worked as a nurse, was instrumental in the COVID policies of Jackson-Madison County with the goal of protecting the people of the community.
The “Woman of the Year’ program was founded in 1952 by the Altrusa Club.
An award was not presented in 2020 due to COVID.
