JACKSON, Tenn. — A family is reunited with their 5-year-old boy. Officials say the student was a designated car rider and was inadvertently placed on a school bus”.
After the bus dropped the child off he began walking down Hwy 45 Bypass. A passerby spotted the child and took him to authorities.
Jackson Madison County School Superintendent Verna Ruffin issued a release saying, an Arlington Elementary student designated as a car-rider was inadvertently placed on a school bus
“A search involving several highly concerned individuals ensued and the student was located, returned to the school and released to the parents,” the release states.
According to the release, school officials are evaluating the circumstances that lead to the incident and will work to insure that additional precautions are taken to assure this does not occur in the future.
