The Jackson Energy Authority Board of Directors reviewed nine new business items during its monthly meeting at the Tennergy Center, Thursday.

“All items, which were approved by the board, included resolutions for equipment purchases along with improvements to the gas and water systems,” Monte Jones said, “The board also approved participation for the City and County Bicentennial Celebration and the Chamber of Commerce Forward 3.0 campaign.”

Monte Jones is the chairman of the board at Jackson Energy Authority.

“The annual audit report was presented by representatives from Alexander Thompson & Arnold PLLC, which revealed no adverse findings,” Monte said, “The board complimented management on the successful audit for the prior fiscal year.

“Corporate Secretary, Aletza Boucher will be retiring this month and she was recognized for her dedicated service to JEA and work with the board.”
