JACKSON Tenn (August 24, 2015) – A woman who claimed she was the victim is now a defendant after police say she filed a false report

Laveda Randall is charged with one count of filing a false report with police.

Investigators say she changed her story after first claiming she had been drugged and raped.

Randall first told police she shot at a man in the parking lot of the Jackson Hotel on the 45 by-pass . She claimed to have shot at the man, that she only knew by his first name, after he allegedly drugged and raped her in the room.

She then changed her written statement to read that she shot at a man after her charged at her outside in the parking lot of the business, and she said she shot at least 4 more times when he charged her again.

Investigators obtained video evidence which they say showed Randall was the aggressor.

Laveda Randall is being held in custody in lieu of bond.
