The Jackson-Madison County Regional Health Department confirms an 85-year-old male died Jan. 2, 2022 due to complications from COVID-19. This brings the total number of COVID-19 related deaths to 319 in Madison County.
The health department has received positive test results for 1,248 more cases of COVID-19 since Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2022. We now have 21,626 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Madison County – 18,633 have recovered.
