Jackson Police apprehend suspect who fired multiple shots at officers

From the Jackson Police Department –

Jackson Police continue to investigate the circumstances that caused a subject to fire multiple shots endangering officers and the community in which he lived.

At approximately 5 a.m., November 24th, Jackson Police were dispatched to 41 Ridgeoak Drive for multiple 911 calls. Responding officers made contact with a black male lying face down in the grass at 41 Ridgeoak Drive.

Upon officers arrival, the individual got up, ran into the house, closed the door, concealing himself from officers, and began firing rounds. Jackson Police did not return fire.

The rounds the suspect fired caused damage to his property and property of his neighbors. However, no injuries have been reported. A short time later, officers received a call of a naked man hiding in bushes on Windy Hill Drive. This subject was taken into custody without incident. Based upon the preliminary investigation, the subject taken into custody on Windy Hill Drive is the subject that shot at officers and caused property damage.
