Judge Don Allen one of 3 names sent to Gov. Lee for Court of Criminal Appeals vacancy

The Governor’s Council for Judicial Appointments considered five applicants for the Court of Criminal Appeals vacancy in the Western Section. After holding a public hearing and conducting public interviews, the Council selected the following applicants:

Donald H. Allen – Jackson resident. Circuit Court Judge, Division II for the 26th Judicial District (Madison, Chester, Henderson Counties) since August 20, 1999.

John W. Campbell – Shelby County resident. Criminal Court Judge, Division 6, 30th Judicial District.

Vicki S. Snyder – resident of Henry County. Henry County, Tennessee General Sessions and Juvenile Court Judge.

The Council has forwarded these three names to Governor Bill Lee for his consideration.

The Court of Criminal Appeals vacancy was created by the retirement of the Honorable Alan E. Glenn, effective July 1, 2021.
