Health Department – 1 additional COVID-19 related death; 46 positive test results since Friday, Oct. 22

The Jackson-Madison County Regional Health Department confirms an 85-year-old female died Oct. 22, 2021 due to complications from COVID-19. This brings the total number of COVID-19 related deaths to 312 in Madison County.

The health department has received positive test results for 46 more cases of COVID-19 since Friday, Oct. 22, 2021. We now have 18,247 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Madison County – 17,467 have recovered.

Epidemiology staff are reaching out to these individuals and people who had close contact with these cases.
