Jay’len Mosley, a freshman running back/receiver/free safety for the Jackson Christian School Eagles is the NEWS/TALK 101.5 FM & WNWS.COM football ‘Player of the Week,’ presented by Mann’s Wrecker and AJD Metal Designs.com.
Jay’len rushed for 165 yards on nine carries, and had three receptions for 23 yards in Jackson Christian’s 47-6 win over FACS, Friday, Oct. 15.
His touchdown was his first from the ground game this season.
For the season, Jay’len has rushed for 360 yards on 32 carries, and caught 21 passes for 456 yards and five touchdowns.
Jay’len – who has 1,189 all-purpose yards – has accounted for 294 yards on kickoffs, and returned a punt 79 yards for a touchdown.
“We’re having a pretty good season, but we’re not where we want to be, yet,” Jay’len said, “It’s good right now, but we want to peak at the state championship.”
Jackson Christian (6-2) entertains Trinity Christian Academy, at Southern Capital Field at Ronnie Fowler Stadium, Friday.
