From the Jackson Police Department –

Jackson Police currently have a suspect in custody for a homicide that occurred at 216 Roosevelt Parkway, Parkway East Apartments.

At approximately 11:05 P.M., officers were dispatched to 216 Roosevelt Parkway for a call of shots fired. Responding officers located a black male with a gunshot injury. The victim was transported by Emergency Medical Services to a local hospital where he was later pronounced deceased.
