The Jackson-Madison County Regional Health Department confirms nine additional COVID-19 related deaths, bringing the total to 285 in Madison County. The newest deaths include:
- 72-year-old male (died 9/17/2021)
- 49-year-old male (died 9/17/2021)
- 88-year-old male (died 9/17/2021)
- 76-year-old female (died 9/18/2021)
- 50-year-old male (died 9/18/2021)
- 68-year-old male (died 9/21/2021)
- 41-year-old male (died 9/21/21)
- 59-year-old female (died 9/21/2021)
- 39-year-old male (died 9/23/2021)
The health department has received positive test results for 174 more cases of COVID-19 since Tuesday, Sept. 21, 2021. We now have 17,489 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Madison County – 15,915 have recovered.
Our Epidemiology staff is reaching out to these individuals and people who had close contact with these cases.
