Construction continues on new Commercial Bank & Trust at Oil Well Road & Pleasant Plains

Construction continues on a new Commercial Bank and Trust Company on approximately 2.4 acres at the northeast corner of Oil Well Road and Pleasant Plains.

Commercial Bank currently has two locations in Jackson – 3093 North Highland Avenue, and 79 Stonebridge Boulevard – along with its mobile bank courier service.

The new location will offer full service banking to include mortgage loans and trust services.

Business Spotlight -Joel Wyatt joins Leaders Credit Union executive team as Chief Lending Office

JACKSON, Tennessee – Leaders Credit Union, a member-owned financial cooperative based in Jackson, Tenn., is pleased to introduce Joel Wyatt as Chief Lending Officer.

According to a press release from Shea Brown, Leaders Credit Union Marketing Specialist, Wyatt, who served as Vice President of Consumer Lending for Leaders, will oversee all consumer, business, and indirect lending activities and operations.

As the Chief Lending Officer, Wyatt will be responsible for developing and maintaining effective lending strategies while implementing and researching new programs that increase loan growth.

‘Tentative’ date set for Slim Chickens opening on Channing Way

A tentative date has been announced for the opening of Slim Chickens, 6 Channing Way.

The restaurant is scheduled to open October 18.

Business hours will be 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., seven days a week for the lobby, and 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. for the drive thru.

The Jackson restaurant hopes to hire between 120 and 150 people.

The Jackson location is one of 10 scheduled to open in Tennessee.

Slim Chickens is recognized as a leading fast casual franchise which features dine-in and drive-thru in the “better chicken” segment.
