JACKSON, Tennessee – Leaders Credit Union, a member-owned financial cooperative based in Jackson, Tenn., is pleased to introduce Joel Wyatt as Chief Lending Officer.
According to a press release from Shea Brown, Leaders Credit Union Marketing Specialist, Wyatt, who served as Vice President of Consumer Lending for Leaders, will oversee all consumer, business, and indirect lending activities and operations.
“With his longevity and breadth of knowledge in various areas of the credit union, Joel was a natural fit to take on the Chief Lending Officer role,” said Todd Swims, President and CEO of Leaders Credit Union, “Joel brings extensive experience with Leaders and an innovative outlook from his recent role of implementing new and improved solutions to help meet our members’ lending needs.
“He has proven to elevate Leaders and provide the best consumer lending practices to support membership and help Leaders Credit Union continue to grow.”
As the Chief Lending Officer, Wyatt will be responsible for developing and maintaining effective lending strategies while implementing and researching new programs that increase loan growth.
He will monitor lending trends and market conditions, maintain accurate, efficient, and safe management of Leaders’ loan portfolios, and actively seek new lending opportunities to support our members’ needs.
Wyatt recently celebrated 15 years of financial services experience with Leaders. Wyatt is a graduate of the University of Tennessee at Knoxville with a degree in Business Administration and Union University earning a Masters degree in Business Administration.
Wyatt began his career with Leaders as a student working part-time in 2006. He has served Leaders as an accounting assistant, teller, member service representative, branch manager, data analyst, and vice president of consumer lending.
Wyatt attends Englewood Baptist Church in Jackson, Tennessee. He and his wife, Katie Beth, and their son reside in Jackson, Tennessee.
